AC problems we fix
If you are thinking “I need to fix my air conditioning,” these are the usual suspects.
Blowing warm air
Often airflow, thermostat, electrical or refrigerant-related. We find the cause.
Will not turn on
Tripped breakers, thermostat problems, failed capacitors or control issues.
Frozen coil or ice on lines
Usually restricted airflow or a refrigerant problem.
Water leaking
Clogged condensate drains and related issues.
Weak airflow
Dirty filters, blocked vents, blower or duct problems.
Noises, smells & short cycling
Squealing, rattling, musty smells, or a system that turns on and off repeatedly.
Check these first
- Thermostat is set to Cool, set below room temperature, and has working batteries.
- The air filter is clean. A clogged filter is a common cause of poor cooling and frozen coils.
- The breaker has not tripped.
- Vents are open and the outdoor unit is clear of leaves and debris.
- If you see ice on the unit or lines, turn the AC off (leave the fan on if you can) to let it thaw before calling.

Frequently asked questions
Why is my AC blowing warm air?
Common causes are a dirty filter, a thermostat set incorrectly, a tripped breaker, a dirty or frozen coil, or low refrigerant. Check the basics above, then call us if it persists.
Why is my air conditioner freezing up?
Ice usually means airflow is restricted (dirty filter, blocked vents, failing blower) or the refrigerant charge is off. Turn the system off and let it thaw before it floods or damages the compressor.
Should I repair or replace my AC?
It depends on age, repair cost, and how often it has failed. We will diagnose the problem and tell you honestly which makes sense.
